STEM on the Go with CPS

July 29, 2017

CAFF priorities met: Engaging Youth and Young People

The Columbus Public School Foundation has been awarded a $30,000 grant from the Columbus Area Future Fund for a STEM on the Go program.

Funds will be used to create a mobile learning lab to engage and educate area school students and

community residents about STEM concepts and STEM careers in the Columbus area. Lessons will be taught by local teachers (or other individuals) concerning local industry in our local environment.

The goal of the program is to advance STEM education (science technology engineering math) by providing students with quality, hands-on activities and experiences. Interactive lessons will be presented concerning industry, energy, robotic and computing applications.
