Recently Awarded Grants

January 30, 2019

The Columbus Area Future Fund had the privilege of giving out two grants recently to our community.

The Future Fund was able to provide a $5,000 grant to Centro Hispano's Micro Business and Development Program. Their mission is to provide the necessary tools to promote business growth and improve quality of life while forming strong alliances within the traditional and migrant community. With this grant, they are able to provide training in Spanish, workshops and technical assistance from which will help Latino/Hispanic business owners and entrepreneurs continue to grow and become a strong economic factor within our community.

The Fund was also able to recently provide a $2,500 grant to the Columbus Baseball Association. This grant was to renovate the Gerrard youth baseball/softball complex. The renovation project includes grading drainage rework and infusion of soil conditioner on six infields, and the fields are used by girls' and boys' baseball and softball, boys' high school and legion baseball and high school softball.
